umm Dashers VAC automatically disconnects and bans cheaters. This means that an update to VAC and your admins banning people are completely unrelated

You can look through the logs to see who was automatically disconnected, and manually give them a permanent ban, however. VAC doesn't perma-ban by default, afaik.

If they didn't say so, expect the worse.



Question; does the dll file have a one size for all pc users, or does it change? Because a quick cheating death-ish check could determine that.

Is anyone seeing their wonid banned on secure servers?

I have access to 4 cdkeys, from sharing only with friends.

Around March 11th, 2 of the keys were banned for a week for past cheating violations, then 2 weeks ago another had the same problem.

and last week my brother tells me that his key has been banned until may 8th, almost a whole month. We don't cheat!!! and talking with our friends and warning them not to cheat, they've told us they don't cheat and I think they cheated in the past but not now. How does valve come up with these bans? The bans say it's cause of past cheating violations, what do they mean by that? Like cheating last week, or cheating a year ago? Can we contact valve and ask them about the details of the ban?
