not to sound negative early, but either this is a big patch, or an inauspicious start for steam updates, because it is pretty slow.

although, from how quiet they had been about the bugs (up until like, yesterday), i'm glad and impressed to see them have an update out so quickly. maybe they'll be more playing and less moaning. eastwood speaks the truth tho, the first 1.6 fix is of some priority now.

It's updating very slowly for some reason.. I left.. and made myself some mocha thing.. which took a few minutes.. and came back and it was still on the same %... so I canceled it and restarted.. well now it's only 6% higher then when it left off.. but slowly moving up.. it's at 37% right now.... it seems to be updating about 1% every 20-30 seconds... doh!

I think a lot of people are updating at once cause I am taking forever to update too. I hope this update goes well though cause I am guessing they are not gonna be working this weekend.

if u restart it it will look for the fastest content server, but as people are saying its obviously gonna be packed right now, i bet the update is like 4 megs but u gotta wait anyways, and this is one reason why 56kers are advised to kill themselves if they are trying to use steam

I love waiting forever for Steam to update. Then getting the "Could not connect to Steam network" error. No, really I do!
