As far as I know, This is the first time tris bug has appeared... I have it too & reinstalling didn't help. Steam worked perfectly for me before this new update. I use the latest 44.03 Nvidia drivers for my GeForce 3 Ti 500 & from what I know, the latest for my screen (which is a dell 17' flat thingy). Everything else on my comp works fine so it must be a Steam bug. :)

Ok people have come up with a simple solution for the missing font bug. Just redownload the Verdana Bold font from some font site or similar. Visit the Steam Powered forums for more info.



Edit: Okay it seems this trick doesn't work for everyone :) Myself included

yes i get that too only when in direct3d mode, just play in opengl like every1 else does, its faster and less buggy.

Actually I just did but to no avail... Didn't think it would fix it & I was right unfortunately!

I downloaded steam to try out CS 1.6 thinking the bots were going to be stupid! I was wrong, dead wrong! This bots blow away pod-bot. They act so real when playing on any difficulty level. I gotta hand it to Valve. CS only keeps getting better and better!

as far as ive read, and experienced, there are/were occasions where you could close steam, but it would still be running. (like if you hit alt + ctrl + del and checked the processes tab)
