Iget the feeling some people are kinda missing the point; killing people is ok if youre roughly working to the objective, I think the idea is that some people just run around aimlessly when they could plant, or (even worse) sit and camp somewhere like the bathroom in militia.

edit: left wing is dangerous, wouldnt want to get me on mi5 lists and stuff. :P *big kiss to ehh.. people i guess*

Most people who are serious about CS and thus teamplay/objectives are smart enough to focus on clan play and not public servers.
I'll assume that you were not serious about CS for the first 3 years of its existance, then?

Obviously it's more the situation where, say, Mr. Bomber T runs with his team to the bombsite, only to run straight past it to the CT spawn in hopes of gettting the AFK kill, then perhaps trying to swing behind the remaining CT's. Running straight through or completely ignoring a bombsite which your team has already cleared out for you screws over the element of teamwork for everyone else on a de_ map, and so it should be punished if the server is enforcing teamplay.

That's the one advantage of cs_ maps -- any of the CT team can rescue in theory, so your chances of an individual going for it are perhaps a bit better. Of course, it's typically difficult enough to get into the rescue area that many just ignore it and go on killing. *sigh*

No one goes for the objective on pub servers. Anyone who says they go for the objectives, or helps out their team, is a liar. Unless they're scrimming with their clan on a pub server, or playing with clan members. There's exceptions to every rule.
I think you are so misled.

I'm no posterboy for doing the objective all the time, but damn well know I do try more often than I don't. Only time I relent on the objective is when time is almost elapsed and the priamry objective is a moot point and I don't have the last opponent cornered for the secondary objective of elimination.

Problem with PUBs and the objective is this. The lack of a single strong voice and two or three players that will work with them. This forms the core of a good PUB team for a map.
