entRo at first I thought it was a new pic, but turns out it was from the E3 gamespy video. You know, when Gordon drives on the beach and gets up to the crane and drops the box on the guards?

Right, but I don't remember him holding that gun. I'll take your word for it though.

        Don't, he's very wrong.

        It's even a different level.

Yeah, afaik that's a new pic.

I certainly hope some of the remaining bugs in CS:S were worked out before the release candidate was sent in. The fullscreen/windowed mode switching problems (along with numerous other problems some are having) and crashes are pretty annoying. That's fine on a beta, but you expect more out of an actual release.

And yes, Tribes 2 was a classic example of the crap that happens when you push a game out the door too soon. I still like that game, but sheesh it was an excercise in frustration for a long time, and it's much harder to find many people playing anymore.

Yeah, new Tribes should be a lot better, because they sent sooo much more time on it. And yes CS:S I think they fixed the bugs, or they might just release patches when it comes right out for sale . Who knows Valve has its ways of doing things as I think we all know?

There's the new Tribes: Vengeance beta, and it's pretty good. Overall, I think its mediocre for a game in the Tribes series, seeing as how I absolutely loved Tribes2. The complexity of Tribes has been removed, and I hate to say it (as most people playing the beta are), but it feels like UT2k4 with jetpacks.

                Still pretty fun though.

It will be available on Steam by September 30th. In stores a week later. Technically if Valve wanted to be really nice to all of us for waiting so f*cking long they could unlock the HL2 copy we all have on our computers already the minute it is announced as going gold. Hopeful wishing coming from them, but it is technically possible
