Payday 2 is Out Today on the Nintendo Switch

Today, Payday 2 was released by Overkill and Starbreeze Studios for the Nintendo Switch. Payday 2 (audio warning) is going for $49.99 (USD) and includes over 50 heists, 150 weapons, and essentially most of the content from the PC release.

In addition to the old content, there are some new Switch specific feature that players will get to make use of. This includes rumble support and full touchscreen support for the main menu. I mean, it's something, right? There is one more thing though, but it's something that players on all platforms can enjoy.

To celebrate the launch of PAYDAY 2 on the Nintendo Switch, OVERKILL is also releasing a brand-new heister: Joy. She’s a Japanese computer whiz living in the United States and comes with her own hacker perks and weapons. Most importantly, she has her own custom LED light-based mask that changes her appearance on the go. PAYDAY 2 on the Nintendo Switch also adds a new local multiplayer mode to CRIME.NET - called CRIME.NET Local Play - that allows players to set up a local game and invite friends to heist together on the same local network.
