  • New Call of Duty: WWII Game Ready Drivers Released from Nvidia

Nvidia released some new Game Ready 388.13 WHQL drivers today in anticipation of the upcoming release of Call of Duty: WWII. In addition to the Call of Duty optimizations, the drivers also offer up some performance gains in Need for Speed Payback and Nioh: Complete Edition. They are also "recommended" for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, which probably means they include the hotfix that came out for the last major driver update that helped the game to not crash on older Nvidia cards.

For those wondering, the system requirements for the PC version of Call of Duty: WWII can be found below. These updated requirements go hand in hand with improvements made since the open beta.
    Recommended PC Spec:
    CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-2400 or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X
    RAM: 12 GB RAM
    HDD: 90 GB HD space
    Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970 / GTX 1060 @ 6GB or AMD Radeon™ R9 390 / AMD RX 580
DirectX: Version 11.0 compatible video card or equivalent
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
    Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

    Minimum PC Spec:
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit or later
    CPU: CPU: Intel® Core™ i3 3225 3.3 GHz or AMD Ryzen™ 5 1400
    RAM: 8 GB RAM
    HDD: 90 GB HD space
    Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660 @ 2 GB / GTX 1050 or ATI® Radeon™ HD 7850 @ 2GB / AMD RX 550
DirectX: Version 11.0 compatible video card or equivalent
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
    Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Interestingly, Sledgehammer continued on to say that "nearly 100% of all matches were hosted on dedicated servers" when it came to games played during the open beta. Dedicated servers, you say? Nice.
