  • Bandai Namco Releases Sword Art Online: Lost Song

Bandai Namco released Sword Art Online: Lost Song today in North America and Latin America for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc., the premier anime video game publisher, today announced that it has launched Sword Art Online: Lost Song in North America and Latin America for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation® Vita handheld entertainment system. Sword Art Online fans in Brazil will be able to enjoy this new chapter of the Sword Art Online saga on November 20, 2015 on the aforementioned systems.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song introduces a brand new storyline written under the careful supervision of Reki Kawahara, the original author of Sword Art Online. The game features 18 playable characters from the popular series that players can take into thrilling aerial and ground combat. For the first time, fans will be able to play as their favorite characters – including Kirito, Asuna, and Leafa – as well as create and customize their own characters. Sword Art Online: Lost Song also delivers new online multiplayer modes where players can battle other players in arena combat or join forces with up to three other players to explore challenging dungeons.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song utilizes an exciting real-time combat system that enables players to attack enemies from all angles with weapons and magic skills both on the ground and in flight. As players make their way through the game’s storyline, they will engage in fast-paced combat with dangerous monsters, obtain new abilities, and cross paths with key characters who may be new allies or enemies.

“Sword Art Online is a wildly popular light novel and anime franchise with an ever-growing fan base in the Americas. We are delighted to deliver an interactive experience where fans can play as their favorite Sword Art Online character and feel as if they were playing the immersive fictional games themselves.” said Eric Hartness, Vice President of Marketing at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc., “Fans returning for this latest Sword Art Online adventure will find a bigger, more engaging, and ever more rewarding experience awaiting them.”

Sword Art Online: Lost Song is rated T for TEEN by ESRB and is available for purchase at game retailers today in North America and Latin America for the PlayStation®4 system at a MSRP of $59.99 and PlayStation®Vita system at a MSRP of $39.99. Both console versions of Sword Art Online: Lost Song are also available for purchase digitally via the PlayStation™Network. Sword Art Online: Lost Song will be available for purchase at video game retailers in Brazil starting November 20, 2015.
