  • Mega Man Legacy Collection Retail Release Date Announced; 3DS Collector's Edition and Amiibo

    Capcom announced the PS4 and Xbox One retail edition release for the Mega Man Legacy Collection is coming February 23, 2016. They also announced a new Nintendo 3DS version of the game.
    The Nintendo Direct event today introduced even more exciting news for fans of Capcom’s iconic Blue Bomber. The Nintendo 3DS version will contain more than 100 new art and history pieces packed into the game’s already massive in-game Museum. Eleven Nintendo 3DS exclusive remix challenges can also be unlocked using the original Mega Man amiibo—but that’s not the only amiibo that can unlock these new challenges! A brand-new gold-colored Mega Man amiibo was announced today, which will be available exclusively in the Collector’s Edition.

    Nintendo 3DS Standard Edition contents (MSRP $29.99):
    • Full game
    • 2 Nintendo 3DS Mega Man Themes
    • Sample compilation soundtrack featuring 18 songs from Mega Man 1-6
    • 4 Mega Man stickers

    Nintendo 3DS Collector’s Edition contents (MSRP $49.99):
    • Standard edition, including all physical bonus items
    • Set of 6 Mega Man postcards
    • Exclusive gold-colored Mega Man amiibo

    Xbox One and PlayStation 4 retail version contents (MSRP $29.99):
    • Full game
    • Robot Master cheat sheet
    • Sample compilation soundtrack featuring 18 songs from Mega Man 1-6
    • 4 Mega Man stickers

    Mega Man Legacy Collection is available now digitally for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC for $14.99, and will also be available via the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS alongside the retail release on February 23, 2016.
