Nintendo is lowering the price of its Nintendo 2DS handheld to just $99.99 (USD) on August 30. This price includes the console and a downloadable copy of Mario Kart 7.
The original price of the 2DS was about $130. To those wondering what differs between the 2DS and its more robust 3DS brother, the obvious is that it doesn't feature any 3D capabilities. It's also a flat, slate design while the 3DS handhelds are clamshell. The screen is also smaller than the XL line of the 3DS. It also cannot play a small handful of games that require a newer 3DS chipset.
