  • Hitbox Opens Revenue Sharing to All Streamers

Hitbox announced today that they are opening up their revenue sharing to everybody. This means that you don't have to be receive a special invite from Hitbox in order to become a "partner" with them, you can now do so freely. This is in stark comparison to Twitch where only those selected by Twitch can be partnered.

To put it bluntly: This will allow everyone to perhaps earn a bit of cash just from streaming through Hitbox. If you have an account there, you can now run a few ads during your stream to help out towards that goal. Of course, the popular channels will obviously make quite a bit more money while smaller channels may make next to nothing. Of course, this also means that every channel can now have subscribers and subscriber emotes.
“There is so much varied and exciting content streamed live on Hitbox every day. For those broadcasters who are growing a smaller audience or choose unique, lesser known titles over the eSports giants, we wanted our platform to be just as fair and rewarding.” – Martin Klimscha, CEO and co-founder of Hitbox

May as well try your hand at earning some cash if you're already on Hitbox and have an audience. Most people probably won't see anywhere this amount paid out to them, however.
