Following the release of the Ill-Gotten Gains Update Part 2 for GTA Online, many users reported lower than usual framerates. Many speculated that Rockstar had implemented a system to combat modders and cheaters in the latest update, and as a result the performance had been adversely affected. Some tests found that even unmodded, the new system was causing a negative impact to performance. At no point has Rockstar officially remarked about any new anti-cheat or anti-mod system being implemented.
Rockstar's official response, however, is that they are aware of the performance issues people are having and are investigating into it.

After updating GTAV to 1.28 on PC, I’m noticing considerably lower framerate. Is this issue being looked into?
