For reasons known only to the devil and the production firm he made a deal with, there is apparently a TV series based off of Resident Evil in the works. The series will be the work of a German production house called Constantin Film.
If you had hopes of the TV series more closely following the games than the movies, think again. Constantin said that the series would be a spin-off of the Resident Evil films. They also note that the TV series won't come until after the last Resident Evil film is released. The last film is entitled Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
