  • ESA Kicks Off - European Speedrunning Marathon to Benefit Charity

The European Speedster Assembly (ESA) has officially kicked off. It's a speed running marathon similar to Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) or Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ), but this takes place in Europe.

As was the case with the previously mentioned marathons, ESA will also be raising money for Doctors Without Borders, an organization that brings medical supplies and assistance to more than 60 countries. They aim to help people "threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters."

This marathon actually has two streams going on right now. You can watch them simultaneously by heading on over to the ESA website. In addition, you can chat to either stream from their main page. Most importantly, you can donate towards their good cause from their website!

If you would like to know the schedule for the dual streams, the entire thing can be found right here. Right now (as of this posting), Splinter Cell: Blacklist is going strong on the Blue stream and Beyond Good & Evil is going on the Yellow stream. They have games lined up on both channels straight through Saturday.

I will embed both streams below, but I strongly urge you to go to the ESA website to catch the action. It makes donating and watching a hell of a lot easier.
