  • Yoshi, Sheik, and Zero Suit Samus Confirmed for Super Smash Bros. Roster Plus Fresh Details

As part of today's ongoing Nintendo Direct, Nintendo has revealed some new additions to the confirmed roster list for Super Smash Bros..

They have already confirmed that Yoshi, Sheik, and Zero Suit Samus will be included in the game's roster. In addition, Nintendo has revealed that Poke Balls return to the game, including Master Balls with rare and legendary Pokemon.

Additional details note that online play will make use of your NNID and there will be two main modes. The "For Glory" mode is a ranked style match and the "For Fun" is as you might expect. There will also be some boss characters showing up in some stages of the game. Most of the game will run at 60fps and in stereoscopic 3D on the 3DS and Wii U, though I'm sure the 3D is limited only to the 3DS version.

Custom move sets were also announced, though you won't be able to use these during online matches. The 3DS version of the game includes a 4-player battle game "set in a dungeon-like stage full of power-ups to collect." You will "explore the stage and collect power-ups for five minutes, then slug it out with your enhanced fighters."

The 3DS version of the game will be out this Summer, with the Wii U version coming this Winter. Nintendo will undoubtedly have some new trailers going out shortly showing off some of these new features and character reveals.
