Invites were sent out by Amazon inviting a number of press members to an event in New York on April 2. It is expected that the company will reveal their new set-top box that will play videos from a number of services, run on a version of Android, and be able to play games.
It is said to heavily rely on the Amazon Instant Video service but will also include Netflix and Hulu apps. It won't have access to the Google Play Store but rather to the Amazon storefront directly for digital purchases.
