PS Vita TV Announced by Sony

If you were up late last night, you probably saw a few of Sony's big announcements during their press conference in Japan. One of the big things revealed was the PS Vita TV. Priced at about $95 (USD), the PS Vita TV is a pocket sized device that connects to your TV and grants you access to Hulu, other streaming services, Twitter, email, PS Store videos, and much more.

The device will also let you play Vita titles on your TV in addition to downloadable PSP and PSOne titles. There is just one catch here. The device won't let you play Vita titles that require the Vita's touchscreen. However, for just $99, that's really not that bad of a sacrifice.

The remote play functionality will also allow you to play PlayStation 4 titles from another room, if you so desire. In addition, the device includes connectors for LAN, USB, and HDMI in addition to the memory card slot. It is capable of connecting via WiFi and Bluetooth and can output at 1080i, 720p, and 480p.

The PS Vita TV will ship on November 15 for 9,480 yen ($95 USD) for the basic model, or about $150 (USD) for a bundle that includes an 8GB memory card and a Dual Shock 3 controller.

Except, it's not. Perhaps you're blissfully unaware of the popularity and usefulness of devices like the Google Chromecast, or the Roku, or the Apple TV are. All of which have similar functionality to this but without the ability to play Vita titles from an established and large library.

Then again, I see who is posting and merely assume you're just trolling for the hell of it for no other reason than to be you.
