New rules set up by Microsoft are aiming to entice more Indie developers to self-publish (finally) on the Xbox One platform.
Registrations for the ID@Xbox Program will be the start of Microsoft accepting developers into the system. Those selected will be given two dev kits at no cost and they will have full access to everything the Xbox One has to offer including cloud services, Kinect, SmartGlass, multiplayer, Achievements, Gamerscore, and the cloud.
There are also zero application fees into the program. There are also zero fees for releasing updates for games under the new system, which is also a recent change that came to the Xbox 360.
Interested developers can apply to join ID@Xbox right now to get started with the Xbox One self-publishing program.
