  • Call of Duty: Ghosts Utilizing Xbox One's Cloud for Dedicated Servers

If you plan on picking up Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Xbox One, you will already have a one-up on the other platforms. It was revealed that the Xbox One version of the game will make use of dedicated servers thanks to the cloud service included with the Xbox One platform.

In addition to this, the presentation at Gamescom also revealed a new game mode called "Blitz." This mode has players attacking and defending zones on either side of a map. If a player makes it to the zone on the opposing team's side, they score a point for their team and are instantly teleported back to their starting zone to try again.

There is also a special bundle for Ghosts and the Xbox One that will include the console, the game, and special "bonus content."

I hate this cloud they are pushing, it's just a poppy neato way of saying plenty of servers.

Because its a poppy neato way of saying plenty of servers.

"Cloud" is just a gimmicky term brought to you by VMware and everyone jumping on it. It just means servers somewhere else and not part of your infrastructure. Usually virtualized on top of that.

So saying "cloud" just means backing up or running on a server somewhere on the "internet".
