This isn't quite the DLC we were hoping for when Gearbox teased that new DLC was ready to be announced for Borderlands 2. But, I guess we'll take what we can get for now.
During their PAX Australia panel, Gearbox revealed that Borderlands 2 will get a few additional pieces of DLC that will not be a part of the Season Pass for the game. First up is the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2. This will retail for $5 (USD) and will include 11 new character levels (up to 72). There is also the Digistruct Peak Challenge included, which is a "new map" that will let you loot and "over level" your game for extra challenges. What does that mean? Who the hell knows!
The next revealed DLC is Headunter Pack: T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest. This DLC will arrive this Fall and will include a new mission and themed boss fight. It obviously features the well-known Borderlands 1 character, T.K. Baha. If you beat the boss you will be rewarded with various character customization options. Right now, there is no price set for this DLC.
Smaller pieces of DLC are coming, which include capacity increases for your backpack, ammo, and bank slots. There will also be more customization pieces coming. All of this smaller stuff is reportedly going to be free to everyone. The customization pieces for Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep will be coming "soon."
A special Gearbox Community Day will be held on September 14 and this will be livestreamed to the world. Will this be where Gearbox finally gives the fans what they want and announces the DLC that will let us go to the Hyperion moon base? Man, I sure as hell hope so!
