Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is Available Now on Steam Early Access

Spicy Horse Games announces that Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is now available on Steam Early Access for the PC, Mac, and Linux platforms.

Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is a "feudal-Japanese reimagining of the tale of Red Riding Hood."

Grab the game now for just $9.99 and get $30 worth of in-game currency and items, as well as an exclusive item that you can only get via Steam Early Access. The Early Access phase will help the Spicy Horse team improve the game in preparation for its full Steam release, which will be free to play.

The Steam version of Akaneiro: Demon Hunters was made possible by thousands of gamers who backed Spicy Horse’s successful Kickstarter campaign, which raised more than $200k to expand and enhance the game. A Linux beta is also available for download at http://spicyworld.spicyhorse.com

Akaneiro is the latest "twisted tale" from the team that brought you "Alice: Madness Returns". Set in turn-of-the-century Japan, the game finds a battle-hardened "Red" fighting demons, wolves and mythical monsters. Naturally, people on the Steam forums are bitching about a price being associated with a game that will eventually be priced lower (in this case F2P) upon its final release on Steam. That sure sounds familiar.
