Sony confirmed that neither PlanetSide 2 nor DC Universe Online will require a PlayStation Plus subscription when the free-to-play titles launch on the PlayStation 4 later this year.
While PlayStation Plus is required for most retail games on the PS4, this policy will not apply to F2P titles appearing on the console.
This policy will also apply to the PS4 releases of Blacklight: Retribution and Warframe, which are two other F2P titles slated to show up on the PS4.

"As far as free-to-play games are concerned, it's a publisher's decision whether they put it inside or outside of the PlayStation Plus requirements," Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida said.
