Report: Metro: Last Light PC Locks FOV to 70, Defaults to Aim Assist Enabled, and Includes Only Basic Graphical Settings

According to a PC Gaming Wiki article on the settings and features of the PC version of Metro: Last Light, it seems as though 4A Games kind of forgot just what it meant. The article that has had hands on time with the PC version of the game says that the FOV is locked to a paltry 70 degrees.

There is aim assist that is reportedly also enabled by default. If you're looking for graphical settings that are actually descriptive? Then you best look elsewhere. The settings are barebones and offer four different presets. It might not be too bad, being limited to preset options, if you were actually made aware of what settings were being changed each time.

Unfortunately, it seems as though there is no in-game option to change the FOV. There is no in-game option to disable the aim assist. There is no way to individually tweak each graphic setting inside the game. All of this must be changed through various ini changes. Lovely.

Metro 2033 was said to be a "love letter" to the PC community. Last Light looks a bit like a Dear John letter.

The multi-platform release of Metro: Last Light is slated for release at midnight tonight.

Looks like another PC game ruined by consoles and the Devs being to lazy to give the PC players extra options.

Gosh, Metro 2033 was fantastic. I really hope this is not entirely true. How could someone after producing such a fantastic game with limited resources do this? Probably was the fault of what the team has gone through due to what happened with THQ
