Horror Legend John Carpenter Wants to Make a Dead Space Movie

One of the best horror film directors, John Carpenter, has said he is interested in getting a chance to work on a Dead Space film. Carpenter, who's credits include the Halloween series, The Thing 1982 remake, They Live, and Escape from New York to name a few says that the Dead Space series is comparable to Alien.

"I maintain that Dead Space would just make a great movie because you have these people coming onto an abandoned, shut-down space ship and they have to start it up and something's on board. It's just great stuff.

"I would love to make Dead Space, I'll tell you that right now. That one is ready-made."

Carpenter's films are perhaps best known for their use of heightened tension throughout the course of the film. This is perhaps best evident by The Thing and Halloween films.

Obviously, this is just wishful thinking at this point. EA has not commented on any sort of Dead Space film outside of the previously released animated ones.
