In the 12 months since its release, Crytek's freemium shooter Warface has hit the 9 million registered user mark. What? How is that possible!?
Well, it seems as though the biggest audience for the game comes from Russians. Yes, it seems as though Russia enjoys a good free-to-play shooter more than anybody else. Who'd have thunk it?
Just five months ago, Crytek reported that Warface topped 5 million players in Russia, with 1 million players jumping on board in the first month. Now, keep in mind here that just because there are 9 million players registered that doesn't mean there are 9 million active players.
Right now, Warface is in a beta stage for the United Kingdom and the United States. It was available as a playable beta for those using Gface, but that period has since ended.
