As it stands right now, EA will continue to offer up social games by way of PopCap. In fact, one of the incentives being given to loyal Playfish fans will be some sort of PopCap title. Whether or not that will be an offer for a non-social title or some sort of in-game bonuses, remains to be seen.
Those who have enjoyed Madden NFL Superstars and NHL Superstars will see their games come to a close on May 14. It seems as though the FIFA Superstars title came to an end late last month.
EA acquired Playfish for $300 million in 2009. The last Playfish title will be shut down in just two months.
