Time to Change Passwords - The War Z Databases were Hacked

The good news from OP Productions just keeps on coming. The company behind The War Z (not to be confused with the much better Day Z) have sent out an email to the player base in forming them of a huge security breach that has occurred.

Apparently a group of hackers gained access to the email addresses of users, and the passwords for the players and forum visitors. Though the passwords are encrypted, it is strongly suggested you change your passwords elsewhere if you are someone that uses the same password in more than one location.

OP Productions urges players to change their War Z passwords immediately even if you aren't playing the game any more. This can be done by clicking on "Forgot Password" on the War Z launcher or by visiting their website (which doesn't work at all right now since they put this notice up in its place for the time being).

This hack allegedly happened about a week ago, though users are only now being informed about it. The team at OP Productions have "engaged outside experts and investigators to assist in (their) investigation of the incident."

I was waiting for this to happen, these people at the company have little clue about security. It was proven during the DDoS attacks early in the months and more proof with their concept of their game. I don't feel sorry one bit for them.
