Dragon Age 3 and Next Mass Effect to Run on Frostbite 3

Last year when Dragon Age 3: Inquisition was officially announced, it was said that the game would be running on Frostbite 2. That is not the case any more.

Today, BioWare Montreal's General Manager Aaryn Flynn, revealed via Twitter that both Dragon Age 3 and the next Mass Effect title have an engine upgrade.

"For everyone who's been asking after the #BF4 reveal, #DA3 and the next Mass Effect are also using Frostbite 3. It's awesome."

With this fresh reveal for Dragon Age 3, that now makes two titles Frostbite 3 titles tentatively slated for release in 2013.

YEah, it's not surprising. I'm just interested in seeing how can they have variety and how much can they modify the engine. Look at UT3 games, some of them you can't even tell they are using the engine because it feels so different. Now you look at all the BF and MOH and NFS the run and the new commnad &conquer and all the other games who have used it, and you can perfectly tell it's the frostbite engine because they don't bother to change it much
