Man, that bites. I guess a free game is better than nothing. The only games I see worth it on that list is BF3 Plants vs Zombies and SimCity 4.

Given how much I hated the previous MoH and how terrible the reviews have been for Warfighter, I'm not sure I could stomach getting that even with it being free.

Honestly, Mass Effect 3 is probably what I'll end up getting. It's a great game if you ignore the ending (or get the DLC that makes the ending not suck ass).

I went ahead and got Mass Effect 3. They had the free game giveaway show up the second time I started up Origin tonight. Guess you don't have to wait until the 22nd.

I just don't get what's so good about mass effect. I tried to force me into it multiple times but I could never keep going and I ended up always quiting. Besides Miranda's attributes, or the chance to flirt aliens, there is not much in there that manages to grab my attention. I did enjoy the multiplayer beta from the third one, it was quite fun with friends though I totally hated how everything from sprinting to cover was done with the space bar. Sill, you already have some free to plays that offer a similar multiplayer experience.

Aside from the original ending of the third game, the writing is very solid. The ability to choose a variety of dialogue options is fantastic. The RPG customization elements from the first game were great (though sadly removed in 2 and 3). The action feels solid. The visuals are usually fantastic. Lots of sidequests to do. Lots of interesting characters and storylines, etc.

Yes, other games have probably done all of those things before but the Mass Effect series took them to a higher level. That's the short answer since I'm eating at the moment and don't really feel like typing a lot.

Yeah, that's what everyone has told me, but I'll try to say what I felt. I felt like the story was advancing way too slow, even though all the options and things to do, the story felt like it was dragging itself way too much to points I didn't really care and I just didn't had 100 hours to spend around. Yeah, the story could be fantastic but it did a bad job in grabbing my attention from the beginning.
The combat didn't feel like anything special or new, it was solid, yeah, but was pretty simple and didn't have much depth. Cover, shoot, cover, force push, shoot, cover. In the end I think it just felt boring.
