Digital Version of SimCity Temporarily Pulled from Amazon Due to Server Issues

When it rains, it pours. The server issues plaguing SimCity have now caused Amazon to temporarily stop selling the digital version of the game. The retailing giant says that the game is "currently unavailable" and is not sure when it will be made available again.

Those looking to purchase the digital version of the game through Amazon are greeted with the following message.

Many customers are having issues connecting to the "SimCity" servers. EA is actively working to resolve these issues, but at this time we do not know when the issue will be fixed. Please visit https://help.ea.com/en/simcity/simcity for more information.

I don't think they need to stop selling the game due to this issue, many games suffer day one connection issues which get resolved.

Day 3, Large portion can't play yet. EA is litterally disabling features to relieve stress on the game.

This isnt a normal Day 1 type of dropping of the ball.

Just tried again. Had some hope but then as it was loading a town it disconnected me from the SimCity servers. This has been ongoing for two days now. Ever since the first day I had the game (which was less than 24 hours after it was released mind you), I've only been able to play once for five hours.
