Jason West, a Co-founder of Respawn Entertainment and creator of the Call of Duty series, has apparently departed from the company some months ago. West had formed Respawn after a mass departure of staff members from Infinity Ward and subsequent lawsuit between them and Activision.
At present, this means that Vince Zampella, the other half of the founding duo of Respawn, is now the only acting head of the studio. Reports say that West left the company way back in May of 2012 when the lawsuit between the two and Activision was settled.
Respawn Entertainment's first game is slated to be revealed to the public at E3 later on this year. Their game is slated to be published by EA. Respawn Entertainment has not offered up any comment on the matter.
