EA, Microsoft, Zynga, and Many Other Studios Support the Right to Same-sex Marriage

Over 270 high-profile companies have come together in opposing the "Defense of Marriage Act" (DOMA) by signing a document asking the Supreme Court to repeal the law.

DOMA states that marriage is defined as being only between a man and a woman, thus leaving same-sex marriages out of the question. Some of the companies opposing DOMA include Microsoft, EA, Zynga, Facebook, Intel, Google, Apple, and Walt Disney Company just to name a few.
"Although marriages are celebrated and recognized under state law, DOMA, a federal law withholding marital benefits from some lawful marriages but not others, requires that employers treat one employee differently from another, when each is married, and each marriage is equally lawful. DOMA thus impairs employer/employee relations and other business interests," reads the brief.

"This brief is similar in nature of course, but supports a different Supreme Court case, this one being United States vs. Windsor. Both have the same implication--that DOMA presents an issue for employers by forcing them to put married employees in two categories which creates regulatory, tax, benefits and morale problems for employers," EA corporate communications representative Sandy Goldberg told GameSpot.

This is the second brief signed by the companies. The first one was signed in July 10, 2012.

Meanwhile they all stand silently by while the right to Free Speech and Bare Arms are taken away.

Focus on video games guys, while you can.

Why does this right wing irrelevant stuff get inserted into any discussion ever? (by irrelevant I mean nobody is taking those amendments away.)

Its not a right wing/left wing thing. Its a rights thing. Its the reason why gay people cant be treated like humans and have equality. It's harder to get back liberties after they are gone. Bush should has showed you that with the Patriot Act.

But, believe what you want. Its easier to ignore the problems and the pressing issues that will prevent people from being able to speak their minds or for someone to purchase a simple game.

Also there are a few liberals who support the second amendment in a similar capacity to conservatives. I know a couple and they are quite abundant on the Gun-Enthusiast Sub-reddits that I frequent. But I'm going off topic.
