Later this year, perhaps some time in the Autumn months (as I just said in the headline, aren't you paying attention?), North America and Europe will get Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX on the PlayStation 3.
This special release will include Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, which used to be a Japanese only release that had new weapons, new enemies, new abilities, new cutscenes, new missions, new secret movie, and new newness all around. It also includes Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, which was a sequel to Kingdom Hearts that was only available in Europe. Finally, you get the "cinematic story videos" from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, which bridges the story between Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II.
Furthermore, all of the content has gotten the HD treatment. This includes both the visuals and the audio and is "probably the best remastering work we've ever seen." It also has trophies.
If there's one thing to take away from this news is that these games have some really annoying naming conventions going on.
