Report: PlayStation 4 to Use Gaikai for Backwards Compatibility and Streaming

Last July, Sony acquired Gaikai, a company specializing in cloud gaming. Today, potential reasons for this acquisition have begun to form thanks to the Wall Street Journal.

Allegedly, the PlayStation 4 will come with Gaikai support that will let gamers stream PlayStation titles on the PlayStation 4. This means that PlayStation 3 games can be streamed, with the potential for PlayStation 1, Vita, and PlayStation 2 titles. Is this confirmed? Of course not! However, Sony's big event is just four days away.

So that would require servers to be constantly ready to run and stream at least ps3 games to people, this would be a subscription service, pay monthly for the games you already have but can't run on the new console...

Also most of the UK doesn't have the internet speed for these services.

I am not even sure I will partake in the new generation of consoles coming out.
