Adams will be in charge of "35 experienced developers." Though nothing is set in stone just yet, it seems incredibly likely that many of these staff members will be veterans brought over from Vigil, which has still not been picked up at auction from any interested parties.
When asked if this new studio was a purchase of Vigil, a Crytek representative said that Crytek USA is "more like a new start" for the Vigil team.
Gamasutra notes that Crytek USA is the company's 9th studio and the first one in the United States. Crytek is still hard at work on Homefront 2, which it acquired the license to in the THQ auction from last week.
