Nintendo, as part of their Wii U Direct video showcase today have revealed that they will be releasing an HD version of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker prior to the completion of a new Zelda title.
No footage was shown, though a number of still images were put on display in the above video. In addition, they're trying to re-think the Zelda formula for the new Zelda that isn't Wind Waker. They're toying with the idea that you may not have to go through dungeons in a set order, which would actually be quite the departure from previous titles.
