Disney Infinity Announced - It's Like Skylanders with a Disney Twist

Disney Interactive today announced Disney Infinity, a new hardware offering coming soon that looks to be part Skylanders and part Disney magic.

Disney Infinity combies the worlds of Disney and Pixar into one unique experience. Slated for release in June, the Disney Infinity website is already offering up pre-orders and a countdown clock for its release.

"Disney Infinity introduces a new way to interact with the best of Disney on one game platform, both now and in the future," says John Pleasants the Co-President of Disney Interactive.

"With this innovative approach to gaming, Disney Infinity will bring to life new characters, stories and environments from The Walt Disney Company over time in a way that will delight fans and gamers alike."

Look for Disney Infinity to take on Skylanders this June.
