Nvidia Announce GeForce Experience to Bring Console Experience to PC Users

It's not exactly what you think here. Nvidia has been working for years to try and bring a simple gaming experience to PC users, similar to what consoles gamers have. Think about it. On consoles, you just toss in a game and play it, while on the PC you tend to have to configure your graphics settings since the out of the box experience never really tends to set proper settings based on your hardware.

Well, the GeForce Experience looks to take the guessing and work out of the equation. The client calls to a central location that has a huge collection of various PC hardware configurations for a ton of games. A one click solution will set the game to run at the best balance of visuals and framerate without you having to do a thing.

Think about how great this would be when you think about how many games you've installed that have a first-run resolution that is nowhere near your monitor's native resolution.

Check out more at the GeForce Experience website.

I always got mad at how games ran so well on consoles while still looking good, and when you try to play the same game on a PC with better hardware than a console you have to run it on low because of poor optimization to that certain kind of hardware.
So what I mean is, If this actually changes and tweaks the game's inner settings, such as optimizing as it does to consoles, then it's totally worth it and awesome.
If all that it does is change your video settings on the game options then it sucks because I'm pretty sure every pc user knows how to do that manually.

I think it's just video settings, which a neat feature for not very smart people, it would annoy me with it's settings not mine.
Watched a video recently about the careful cuts Crytek have to make to Crysis 3 in order to get it working on a 360 decently, and while i wish there was a way to play 360 versions of games on pc (i'd still be using my old old pc), there are far to many changes to level geometry and models to include in a complete pc download, also Nvidia need you to buy gfx cards.

It's almost guaranteed that the settings Experience sets for you, would probably be almost the same as what you would pick for yourself.
