Blizzard Drops the Ball on Diablo 3 PVP

Sad news from Blizzard today concerning the very, very long awaited PvP component to Diablo III. It seems as though despite being in the works for months, potentially years, the Team Deathmatch and Arena PvP just isn't up to their standards of quality and will not be released.

Instead, the company plans to introduce dueling. Dueling is slated to be added in patch 1.0.7, which will arrive in early 2013.
So, our core problem is that our Team Deathmatch mode doesn't feel like a great addition to Diablo III. It's not up to the quality that Blizzard gamers expect or that we feel you deserve, and it doesn't really fit with our goals for the rest of the game. The question now is what are we going to do about it?

First and foremost, if our original goal was to support dueling, then we're not achieving that goal very well if we don’t actually give players a way to duel in-game. You’ve been asking us for dueling for a while, so we're going to add it to the game soon. Dueling is currently scheduled to release with patch 1.0.7, which is set to hit sometime after the new year. (We'll be providing details about that feature very soon, so stay tuned.)

But as I mentioned before, we are going back to the drawing board on a new replacement for Team Deathmatch, something that feels more appropriate for Diablo III. And as we stated previously, regardless of when we release it, it'll be a free addition to the game. Team Deathmatch provided us with the foundation that we needed and served us well. Hell, it may even still be added in some form in the future. For now, though, we're going to first be looking at new modes that play up to the strengths of the character classes, focus on objectives beyond just defeating other players, and possibly even integrate PvE elements and rewards.

Undoubtedly, this is yet another disappointing blow for fans of the series.

I had a feeling that this was going to happen after the endless push backs on it, just another failure part of what this game is made of, go figure.

So.... do we do hundreds of runs and horde rares to only show our 3 friends our incredible stuff? LOL Blizzard is crap now, it is no longer what it use to be. I'm so glad I quit, I feel sorry for all those people who buys with real money on items they can only show off and fight trash mobs lmao! Diablo3 was basically a birds eye view of world of warcraft with unfair shhitty arena and constant spamming. GG Blizz!

Also why don't these DEVs just tell the truth, that diablo3 and it's skills and characters are uneven and unfit for pvp instead of trying to lie that it's not working out. It's just as bad as when blizz refuses to answer why WOW arena doesn't have 1v1 and they claim that wow is about teammates and crap but truthfully they knew that WOW was a paper rock scissor class game.

I hope blizz crashes and burns and realized that they can't promise a system on an already purchased items. It's unfair to just pull a part of the game out after people have already paid for it.

What I don't get is that isn't a sequel to a game suppose to be bigger and badder but instead it got smaller and more cramped? I could remember the excitement when I first learned that diablo2 was going to have 8 players from 3 originally in diablo1. I almost queezed in my undies! So here I'm thinking dang I bet you diablo3 will have double that player in game play. I was dissapointed, sorely dissapointed... 4 players in one room? Really... I can still remember my 5th friend coming on and saying "okay guys, I'll just catch you later since you guys are full and on a good run". Ughh... You don't know how happy I am that people will finally see blizzard for its true nature, a power and money hungry company that caters casuals and whiners.
