Article: Steam Will Now Email You When Wishlist Items Go on Sale

It seems as though a new feature was recently added to Steam that many people have either overlooked or simply did not want to talk about. Steam will now send you an email when items on your wishlist go on sale.

To set your preferences, load up Steam, click on your account name on the top right corner of Steam, select Account Details, and then click on "Configure your email preferences" on the right side of that new screen.
Steam > Account drop down > Account Details > Configure your email preferences

I probably wouldn't have even noticed this if it weren't for a thread on the Steampowered Forums.

Alright, which one of you took this picture for your own karma train gain at Reddit?

Looking through his comment history, I see that he dislikes CoD. That narrows down which person it is

Only one person here hates Call of Duty? I think I know who you're referencing but still.

I made a reply on that thread. Feel free to upvote this reply so TGN gets at least some exposure out of someone taking my content.

I made some subtle modifications to the image since they even used my own upload for his gains.

upvoted and then commented. I expected a karma loss. Its neutral now.

I love how they think I give a single damn about karma or that he linked to the image instead of this article. I don't care. I merely wanted credit given where credit was due. I said as such. In fact, I said he should have either credited TGN or the thread on the Steampowered forums for this (you know, that very obvious link I had in my news post from the very moment this news went live?).

No no, they think I am upset because of the karma. Awesome. This is why I by and large don't really give a damn about voicing an opinion on Reddit. One track mindsets who think that everything has to be about "karma" there. God forbid someone works their ass off at all hours of the day to deliver content and expect a little recognition in return instead of someone just coming along and not even offering up so much as a courteous mention to where something came from by way of a comment there. That is, no mention until called out about it. That is what I have issue with.

And to those saying I'm an asshole. Absolutely agreed. The entire reason for editing the image afterwards? It worked. Deal with it.

I would prefer a notification in the client itself such as when you get a new comment and so on. I rarely check my email and it's not exactly a delivery system which is very intuitive or broadcasted well unless you actively use email which to be honest is as of now to me at least, a very archaic form of communication with low usage.

Yeah, one of the reasons I took a sabbatical from reddit for a month. Too much superficial shit and Mob mentality. And because since I'm out of work and have an APU laptop Going on reddit was pretty much all I was doing. It was depressing and rage inducing.
