Perhaps it won't be as bad as you may think. Cohen has had a lot of experience working with animated films recently. Some of his credits include Ice Age, Robots, and Horton Hears a Who. Obviously David Maisel knows how things are to blow up given his work on Thor, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and Captain America. So maybe, just maybe this will be ok.
Rovio's CEO Mikael Hed:
"John's an exceptionally talented producer, and we're delighted to have him join the flock. With John's hands-on producer background and David's expertise in establishing and running his own successful studio, these two are the dream team for making a movie outside the studio system. Both professionals have the ideal skills and vision to achieve incredible things."

The question now is, if Rovio will be able to keep things going financially through to the 2016 release. And no, it probably won't be based off of Angry Birds: Star Wars, that's just the image I decided to use.
