Oh the joys of marketing. Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime is talking a bit of smack against both Microsoft and Sony today. In speaking with CNET, Fils-Aime says that the other two big players need to "react to what we've done" with regards to the Wii U and the marketplace.
He was then asked if he feels the Wii U was launched too early.
Meanwhile, many developers are busy complaining about the lack of a CPU with enough juice to let them do what they want with the Wii U. Two example companies being Digital Foundry and THQ. Games that are appearing on the Wii U are also running into worse performance when compared to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
I'm not so sure that Microsoft and Sony are too worried about "reacting" to Nintendo and the Wii U.

"In the end, our competitors need to react to what we're doing in the marketplace and need to figure out what their innovation will be," Fils-Aime told CNET. "It's likely that faster processors and pretty pictures won't be enough to motivate consumers. They need to react to what we've done and we need to continue innovating with the Wii U and we will."
He was then asked if he feels the Wii U was launched too early.
"We don't believe so," Fils-Aime said in response to those claims. "For us, launching new systems is about bringing new consumer experiences to the marketplace and we're doing that with Nintendo land and third-party publishers are doing it with games like ZombiU. For us, now is the right time to launch new hardware."
