Activision struck gold, oil, and diamonds all at once again with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The company revealed that in the first 24-hours of its release, the game pulled in over $500 million around the world.

To compare, Halo 4 made only $220 million in its first day. Pfft, chump change. Then again, Halo 4 was only available on one platform, while Black Ops 2 is on, like, all of them.

Given the challenged macro-economic environment, we remain cautious about the balance of 2012 and 2013."
