Xbox 720 Rumors and Speculation Need to Die Already

Yeah, there's yet another article out today talking about some supposed leak concerning the next-generation Xbox console. Be it the Xbox 720, the Xbox 8, the Xbox Infinity, or whatever the hell else, there is one thing that's clear. Everything we keep hearing is nothing more than speculation and rumor.

The latest comes from CVG talking about a big feature in the upcoming issue of Xbox World. The magazine's 8-page spread discusses everything the editors know about the next-generation console from Microsoft.

Speculated to simply be called "Xbox"? Yep.
Kinect 2.0 talked about? Yep.
Blu-ray discs used? Yep, that's talked about.
New "innovative" controller? Yeah.
Augmented reality glasses? Yeah, that too.

Let's not forget about the system having a CPU with "four hardware cores, each divided into four logical cores" and 8 whopping GB of RAM. The only new thing revealed in this massive blowout seems to be a mock up of the console, which is an image that's been making the rounds on the web these past few days.

All of this? Not confirmed, as usual. There has been no reveal from Microsoft about their next-generation console. This is the same as it's been now for the past few months any time one of these rumors starts to gather some steam.

1. That design looks terrible when compared to the Slim 360 that's out there right now.
