A double whammy of Gabe Newell related news for you today. First up, the President and Co-Founder of Valve is slated to give the keynote address at the 2013 D.I.C.E. Summit taking place in Las Vegas.
Why was he selected to give the keynote? Perhaps it has a little something to do with the fact that in 2013, Gabe Newell will be joining the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences' Hall of Fame! Newell joins previous winners such as Tim Sweeney, Dr. Greg Zeschuk, Dr. Ray Muzyka, and Mark Cerny.
The AIAS notes Newell's accomplishments in managing Valve, his work with the Source engine, the creation of Steam, and his accomplishments with a number of universally beloved series such as Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Portal, and Left 4 Dead.
