StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm Dated for March 12, 2013

The next major release in the StarCraft II universe is slated to arrive on March 12, 2013. StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm will launch worldwide on that date and with it a new chapter in the Terran, Protoss, and Zerg war will begin.

The announcement also includes news that you can no pre-order the expansion in one of three flavors.

Standard Edition
Collector's Edition (retail only)
Digital Deluxe Edition (online only)

The Digital Deluxe includes digital versions of some of the items included with the Collector's Edition. This includes a Torrasque skin for the Zerg Ultralisks, unique Swarm-infested portraits for character profiles, a Baneling pet for World of Warcraft, and Zerg-ified blade wings for Diablo III characters.
