Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition Arrives Next Year

Creative Director, Tent Oster, revealed to Red Bull UK that the team working on Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition will not get much rest after that game ships as they will be working hard to bring Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition to the masses in 2013.

“The instant Baldur’s Gate is completed most of our team is ready to start work on [it], with a couple holding back to continue to add features and support the fans,” he said. “We’re planning on shipping [it] in 2013, hopefully before the end of summer.

“I want to enjoy some sun this year – 2012 was a write off.”

Oster also reiterated that he’d like develop Baldur’s Gate 3, but it would be “dependent on the success of the Enhanced Editions.”

With Baldur's Gate: EE arriving at the end of this month, you really have to admire their dedication to their craft. In addition to this news, Oster also revealed that an iPhone version is still a possibility. He says that his team has it running in an iPhone 4 and is looking into a new UI to make it playable on the smaller screens.

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition arrives on November 28 for the iPad, Android tablets, and the PC for just $9.99 (USD).
