IGN is For Sale

According to the Wall Street Journal, News Corp. has put IGN up for auction. The company is looking to sell the bundle deal of gaming sites for around $100 million.

Back in 2005, IGN was purchased by News Corp. for $650 million. This auction comes after a year's worth of talks with hopeful buyers all fell through. News Corp. is presently working with an investment bank, Allen & Co., to auction off the sites.

At present, a few companies are interested in IGN once the auction rolls around, but nothing is set in stone just yet.

It only makes sense that we at TGN should pitch in to pick up a "sister" network with IGN. We've already been confused for them a few times already, it just seems like the next logical step.
