Latest PlanetSide 2 Command Center Video Provides Updates on Updates and Statistics

The fifth episode in the Command Center line of PlanetSide 2 behind the scenes videos is here! Watch as Creative Director, Matt Higby, and Senior Art Director, Tramell Isaac, provide news on upcoming updates and reveal some amazing statistics from the ongoing beta.

New functionality shown off here includes warp gates, and the Esamir continent. The Engineer class gets a little TLC in the video, as does some fan art, photos, and movies.

PlanetSide 2 currently has a beta underway and is tentatively slated for a final release before the end of the year.

The game is actually in a very playable state already. I can think of other publishers (*cough* EA / Activision) which would have no problem releasing it in its current state.

Here is a small sample where I am moving through the desert with a tank platoon. This kind of action can happen a lot if you are in a semi organized outfit.
