Microsoft is Bringing Back Killer Instinct

Through the Play XBLA website, it was revealed that Microsoft has renewed their trademark for Killer Instinct. Simply put, this means that Microsoft has plans for a Killer Instinct game but there is not yet any information on what kind of game it will be.

Our legal eagles have authorized us to say: “We have either renewed or refiled a trademark application in various jurisdictions.”

Given how the company announced it through an Xbox Live Arcade outlet, it seems fair to assume that it will at least be an Xbox Live Arcade release. However, that doesn't clear up whether or not it will be an all-new title, a simple port of the old game, or a graphically enhanced version of the old game.
